New Dean for College of Arts and Sciences

On July 1, Reinhard Andress, Ph.D., will become the dean of Loyola’s College of Arts and Sciences, the university’s largest college. He succeeds current dean, Frank Fennell, Ph.D.

Andress is currently serving as the associate dean for graduate affairs in Saint Louis University’s College of Arts and Sciences and has almost two decades of experience in Jesuit higher education.

He is also an accomplished scholar in German literature and earned an MA and Ph.D. in German literature from the University of Illinois and a BA in German from Rockford College.
