If you have walked by Damen, Mertz or almost any building on the Lake Shore Campus, you may have noticed the dark gray “rocks” lining the wall. Are these actually rocks? On closer examination, you will notice they look pretty plastic-like to be real rocks. So, what are they?
According to Kana Wibbenmeyer, associate vice president for facilities, they are not rocks. They are simply plastic covers in the shape of rocks that conceal bait for rodent and pest control.
