Tour Chicago’s American Writers Museum

The American Writers Museum (180 N. Michigan Ave.) is currently hosting two temporary exhibits, including an immersive nature exhibit highlighting the poetry of W.S. Merwin (ends Oct. 6) and Jack Kerouac’s original scroll of “On the Road” (ends Nov. 4).

Aside from being closed on Mondays and open until 8 p.m on Thursdays, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Tickets for the American Writers Museum are free for children (12 and under), $12 for adults and $8 for seniors and students with a valid ID.
