A man has been arrested and charged with simple battery in relation to two separate incidents in which Loyola students were victims, according to a notice from Campus Safety Director Thomas Murray.
Students were approached in both incidents at North Winthrop and West Granville avenues around 10 p.m. Dec. 1 by a man who made physical contact with the students, The PHOENIX reported. The man also made offensive sexual comments to the students, according to a crime alert email sent by Campus Safety.
The suspect was arrested by Campus Safety Dec. 2 and charged with simple battery by CPD, according to the notice. The man is in CPD’s custody.
Requests for further details on the suspect and the arrest sent to both Campus Safety and CPD News Affairs were not immediately returned at the time of publication.
