An 18-year-old male was hit by a vehicle outside Regis Residence Hall at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chicago Police.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing Sheridan Road at the intersection of Sheridan and North Winthrop Avenue by a vehicle traveling west on Sheridan Road, according to an email from Rocco Alioto with CPD News Affairs. The pedestrian was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and is in stable condition, according to Alioto.
The investigation is not complete, and it is unknown if any citations were issued, according to Alioto.
Last year, two students were also struck by a car near Regis Residence Hall.
Campus Safety Sgt. Tim Cunningham did not reply to The PHOENIX’s request for comment at the time of publication.
