Police responded to a drive-by shooting about a mile from Lake Shore Campus that left a teenager injured Wednesday night in Rogers Park.

A black, 18-year-old man was shot in the leg and foot when someone in a red vehicle drove by and opened fire as he stood in a parking lot around 10:30 p.m. March 14 in the 6600 block of North Clark Street, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Patrick McGinnis.

The man was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in stable condition, McGinnis said.

It’s unclear if the 18-year-old had any Loyola affiliation.

The shooting occurred one block south from where Loyola student Khrystyna Trinchuk was shot in a drive-by shooting in January 2016.

No suspects are in custody at this time and police detectives are investigating Wednesday’s incident, McGinnis said.
