Former Loyola swingman Donte Ingram is set to sign with the Dallas Mavericks, his agent Keith Kreiter confirmed to The Phoenix.
Ingram will sign an Exhibit 10 deal with the Mavericks, meaning he’ll report to training camp in late September. If he signs a contract with the NBA G-League –– a step below the NBA –– he could receive a $50,000 bonus, according to the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
After the NBA Draft June 22, The Phoenix reported Ingram signed an NBA Summer League contract with the Chicago Bulls. In five Summer League starts, Ingram averaged 6 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game and 1.4 assists per game. Out of the Bulls roster he ranked 6th in points, 3rd in rebound and 6th in assists.
Last year, former Loyola guard Milton Doyle signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Brooklyn Nets. After signing with the Nets’ G-League team, the Long Island Nets, in November, Doyle was given a two-way contract in December and played 10 games with Brooklyn. During the 2018-19 Summer League he averaged 8.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg, and 3.6 apg.
Ingram will head to training camp in late September with the Mavericks.
Ingram was not immediately available to comment.
