Men’s Soccer Advances to MVC Tournament Championship

The Loyola men’s soccer team (10-6-2) clinched a spot in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Tournament championship game with a 1-0 overtime victory over Drake University in Evansville, Indiana Friday night.

The Ramblers were locked in a tight affair for 109 scoreless minutes before Loyola junior midfielder Aidan Megally beat the Drake goalkeeper, eliminating the Bulldogs and giving the Ramblers a chance to clinch their first-ever MVC Tournament title.

The Ramblers are scheduled to play the MVC tournament championship Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. in Evansville against the winner of University of Central Arkansas vs. Missouri State University.
