Women’s Soccer to Open NCAA Tournament Against Florida State

The Loyola women’s soccer team (11-6-1, 6-1) is set to take on No. 7 Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. CDT.

The Seminoles wrapped up the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament with a 3-2 victory over No. 3 University of North Carolina Nov. 4 and clinched one of four No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.

This will be head coach Barry Bimbi’s first NCAA Tournament appearance during his tenure at Loyola and the Ramblers’ first appearance since 2007. Loyola defeated Drake University 3-2 Nov. 4 to earn the Missouri Valley Conference’s automatic bid to the tournament.
