In the latest episode of Unscripted, The Phoenix’s graphic designer Alexandra Runnion chats with arts and entertainment editor Emily Rosca about “The Girl in the Spider’s Web.” The film is the most recent take on Swedish author Steig Larsson’s Millenium series directed by Fede Álvarez (“Don’t Breathe,” “Evil Dead”).
“The Girl in the Spider’s Web” stars Claire Foy (“The Crown,” “First Man”) as the troubled Lisbeth Salander, and Sverrir Gudnason (“Borg vs McEnroe,” “Waltz for Monica”) as the acclaimed journalist Mikael Blomkvist. Lisbeth is recruited to by a government agent to steal a top-secret computer program, which has access to the world’s defense systems. Soon after, she becomes the target of the NSA and a crime ring, both determined to gain control of the program.
