Inside the Wild World of MVC Men’s Basketball Three-Way Ties

Alexandra Runnion | The Phoenix

The Phoenix breaks down some of the many possibilities (1,048,576 to be exact) of who will reign on top of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) going into Arch Madness next month.

Loyola, Drake University and Missouri State University are tied for first place in the MVC standings with four games left until the MVC Tournament March 7-10. The MVC updated its tiebreaker system since the NCAA has developed the NCAA Evaluation Tool, which replaced the Ratings Percentage Index as the metric the March Madness selection committee will use to determine which teams receive at-large bids to the tournament.
