Man Arrested for Domestic Battery in Rogers Park

A 52-year-old man was arrested in Rogers Park Feb. 16 after punching his roommate and pushing his roommate’s girlfriend less than a mile from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus, police said.

The incident occurred on the 1000 block of West Columbia Avenue around 12:30 a.m., according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD).

The man allegedly punched the victim, a 36-year-old man, multiple times in the face and body and pushed the victim’s 30-year-old girlfriend, CPD said.

The victim was transported to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with minor injuries of lacerations and abrasions, according to CPD.

The offender is in custody for domestic battery, and the incident is being investigated, police said.
