A 54-year-old man died Wednesday after being found unresponsive on Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) 147 bus, which runs adjacent to Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus (LSC) and through Rogers Park, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD).

The bus driver noticed the unresponsive man at the end of the bus route, about two miles from LSC near the Howard CTA stop, CPD said. The driver was unable to wake the man — who appeared to be homeless — and called an ambulance, according to CPD.

The man was transported to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston after responders were unable to revive him on the bus, where he was later pronounced dead, CPD said.

There were no signs of foul play, injury or drug use, according to CPD.
