While HBO’s “Game of Thrones” is set to finally come to a close next month, Replay Lincoln Park has planned to hold on to its show for just a bit longer.
The arcade bar Replay Lincoln Park (2833 N. Sheffield Ave.) has extended its “Game of Thrones” pop-up through April 14. The bar has decided to continue the pop-up since “Winter is ‘still’ here,” a play on a motif in the show and also the eternal Chicago winter.
Replay’s pop-up offers guests an immersive experience into HBO’s “Game of Thrones” world. The show has built up a worldwide fandom since its start in 2011 and the last season is slated to premiere April 14. The bar’s pop-up has been greeted with similar popularity.
Visitors have the chance to take part in trivia surrounding the show, indulge in themed drinks and take photos with various installations relating to the show such as the Iron Throne made of weapons of war. To replicate the medieval, grim landscape the bar has also filled the space with life-size cutouts of characters, flags and banners.
The pop-up will be open until April 14 and is a short walk from the Diversey Brown Line stop, a short ride away from both of Loyola’s campuses.
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly said the pop-up bar would be open until March 31. It is actually open until April 14. We regret the error.
