Teenager Shot And Killed on Glenwood Avenue

A teenager was shot and killed in Rogers Park Thursday afternoon, officials said. 

An unknown person shot a 17-year-old male in the torso while standing on the sidewalk on the 6900 block of North Glenwood Avenue — about one mile from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus — at approximately 2:15 p.m., according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs officer Jessica Alvarez. 

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead, Alvarez said.

Tuesday, two male teenagers were also shot in Rogers Park, at the 7300 block of North Rogers Avenue — 2.3 miles from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus, The Phoenix reported

There is no suspect in custody, and Area North Detectives are investigating.  Anyone with information can call (312) 774-8263.
