Two teenagers were shot in Rogers Park Tuesday night, police said.

Authorities responded to the 7300 block of North Rogers Avenue — 2.3 miles from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus — at approximately 9:30 p.m. after two teens reported they were outside when they heard gunshots and realized they had been shot, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ronald Westbrooks.

One of the victims, a 17-year-old male, was shot in the right leg, and the other, a 15-year-old male, was shot in the right ankle, according to Westbrooks.

They transported themselves to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and have both been listed in good condition, Westbrooks said.

Police didn’t have a description of the offender at the time of publication and nobody is in custody.

Area North Detectives are investigating the incident. If anyone has information, call (312) 774-8263.
