For the eighth straight season, the Loyola men’s basketball team is set to open its season at home.

Loyola is scheduled to face University of California, Davis (UC Davis) at Gentile Arena Nov. 5 at 7:05 p.m., according to public records obtained by The Phoenix through a Public Records Act request. Loyola is slated to pay UC Davis $75,000 to play the game, the records stated.

UC Davis, located in Davis, California, finished 11-20 overall and 7-9 in Big West Conference action last year. In their only previous matchup, the Aggies defeated the Ramblers 64-61 Nov. 23, 2011 in Davis.

A Loyola Athletics spokesperson said it’s unclear when the full men’s basketball non-conference schedule would be released.
