Man Dies After Being Pulled From Lake Michigan near Rogers Park

Courtesy of Tony WebsterA group of five to six men approached a 29-year-old man and hit him repeatedly, knocked him to the ground and said they had a weapon, police said.

A man was found dead after being pulled from Lake Michigan Tuesday, police said.  

The 56-year-old, identified as Randy Boston by the Cook County Medical Examiner, was pulled to shore in the 7700 block of North Eastlake Terrace by Chicago Park District lifeguards and pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m., Police Officer Jessica Alvarez said.

The cause and manner of his death are pending with the Cook County Medical Examiner. Area North Detectives are investigating.
