A man was shot during an attempted armed robbery in Rogers Park Friday night, police said.
Two men approached a man at about 10 p.m. in the 7500 block of North Paulina Avenue — near the Howard CTA station — and said they were going to rob him, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Steve Rusanov. He tried to run away and was shot in the right hand, but none of his belongings were taken, according to Rusanov.
The 40-year-old was taken to North Shore University Hospital in Evanston in stable condition after the incident, according to Rusanov.
