Man Attacked on Red Line Near Jarvis Stop

A group of men attacked a man after they demanded his belongings on the Red Line train near Loyola Aug. 31, police said. 

A 33-year-old man told police five or six men approached him and asked for his belongings while he was riding a Howard-bound train at 12:30 a.m. When he didn’t have anything to give, three of the men punched and kicked him, police said. 

The offenders exited the train before the Howard stop and no one is in custody, according to police. 

The victim refused medical attention.

Another person was beaten and robbed while using the Red Line this month at the Loyola station, The Phoenix reported. In addition, a man was recently stabbed at the Howard Red Line stop, The Phoenix reported
