After winning the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) for the second straight year, the Loyola women’s soccer team brought home more hardware Thursday night.
The Ramblers brought home eight All-MVC awards and three specialty awards at a banquet in Springfield, Missouri. First-year forward Megan Nemec was named MVC Freshman of the Year while senior defender Madison Laudeman repeated as MVC Defensive Player of the Year. Head coach Barry Bimbi and his staff repeated as MVC Coaching Staff of the Year.
Four players — Laudeman, Simone Wark, Aleksa Tataryn and Abby Swanson — were named first team All-MVC while Nemec, Sienna Cruz, Aly Kilburg and Grace Droessler were named second team All-MVC.
Loyola is set to kick off the MVC Tournament Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. against Drake University in the semifinal round. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
