A man was robbed near Lake Shore Campus Oct. 27, authorities said.

The 29-year-old was in an alley in the 6700 block of North Sheridan Road — just steps away from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus — at about 12:01 a.m. the man reported he was robbed by three unknown men, according to Chicago Police Department (CPD) News Affairs Officer Jessica Alvarez.

He said one of the offenders started a conversation with him while two others approached the victim from behind. One of the men pulled out a handgun and took the man’s belongings, Alvarez said.

The three offenders ran away in an unknown direction and the victim wasn’t injured, according to Alvarez.

Nobody is in custody and Area North detectives are investigating. If anyone has information on the incident, call Campus Safety at 773-508-6039 or CPD at 312-744-8263.
