A woman died Sunday night after falling seven floors inside Water Tower Place near Loyola’s Water Tower Campus, officials said.

The woman — whose age hasn’t yet been confirmed — fell at about 6:04 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the mall in the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Jessica Alvarez. Witnesses told police officers the woman jumped, Alvarez said.

The woman’s identity and cause of death are still pending investigation with the Cook County Medical Examiner, Alvarez said.
