UPDATE: Man Dies After Being Shot at Howard CTA Station, Charges Pending Against 2 People

Charges against two individuals are pending following the death of a man who was shot in the chest and neck and Tuesday afternoon at the Howard CTA station in Rogers Park, police said. 

The shooting happened about 12:30 p.m. on the Red Line platform of the Howard CTA Station in the 7500 Block of North Paulina Street — about 1.5 miles from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus — according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Kellie Bartoli. 

The victim — identified as 20-year-old Macksantino Webb — was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was later pronounced dead, Bartoli said. 

An autopsy is pending with the Cook County Medical Examiner.
