Police Asking for Help Identifying Dead Rogers Park Man

Alanna Demetrius | The PhoenixPolice are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who was found in the yard of a Rogers Park apartment Dec. 10.

An unidentified man was found unresponsive in the yard of an apartment on the 2000 block of West Arthur Avenue — about 1.5 miles from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus — Dec. 10 around 5 p.m., police said.

Now two weeks later, authorities still don’t know who he is and are asking the community for help identifying him, according to a bulletin released Dec. 22. 

After he was found, the man was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and was pronounced dead, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Jessica Alvarez. 

The cause and manner of death are pending a toxicology report and investigation, according to Natalia Derevyanny, director of communications for the Cook County Bureau of Administration.
