February is getting off to a cold start as three to six inches of snow are expected to fall from Wednesday evening to Friday morning, officials say.
Tonight’s temperature will dip to 30 degrees and the snow is expected to start after 5 p.m., with one to three inches of snow falling overnight, according to a report from the National Weather Service website. Northeast winds traveling between 15 and 20 mph are expected as well.
Thursday brings a high of 32 degrees and a low of 27 degrees with three inches of snow expected to fall all throughout the day, the website said. While there is only a 20 percent chance of snow on Friday, Chicago won’t get much sun as it’s still going to be cloudy all through the weekend.
