The Loyola Phoenix Presents: Production Night Sessions

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Phoenix halted the creation of a print edition, and thus, print production nights are sidelined for the time being.

To fill the hole in Phoenix editors’ Tuesday nights — and having been inspired by the increasing number of artists live-streaming their music — we created the Production Night Sessions.

The Production Night Sessions are 30-minute live-streams on The Phoenix’s Instagram (@loyolaphoenix) every Tuesday night at 6 p.m. CST. 

They feature performing artists and one of our reporters —  who asks the performer questions between songs — a system similar to Audiotree or NPR’s Tiny Desk series. 

The live-stream chat is open, meaning the audience can pose questions to the performer or share their 

For those that can’t make the live-stream on Tuesday night, the full livestream will remain on the Loyola Phoenix Instagram story for the following 24 hours and will also go up on our website the day after the stream.
