The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) released basketball conference schedules for the 2020-21 season Sept. 22. The Loyola men’s basketball team will open up MVC play when it hosts Drake University Dec. 30. This comes six days after the NCAA confirmed basketball season could start as early as Nov. 25.

Loyola’s 2020-21 non-conference schedule and a decision on fan attendance at games is still unknown. According to a press release from Loyola Athletics, those decisions will be coming at a later date.

While there are still some unknowns regarding fan attendance, tickets for single games at Gentile Area will be available, according to the release. There will not be season ticket options for this year, but pre-existing season ticket holders will have priority in single game tickets.

The Ramblers will close out the season against last year’s regular season conference winners, University of Northern Iowa, at home Feb. 27. They will then head to St. Louis to play in the MVC Championship Tournament March 4-7.

Loyola is returning its entire starting lineup as well as 2019-20 Sixth Man of The Year Marquise Kennedy. The veteran-laden squad will be shooting for its fourth-consecutive top two finish.

Head Coach Porter Moser was not immediately available for comment.
