Along with a group of other schedule changes, the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) announced the rescheduling of the Loyola men’s basketball team’s two-game series against Bradley University for Jan. 24 and 25. The two teams were originally scheduled to play Jan. 3 and 4, but the series had to be postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within Bradley’s program.

Loyola and Bradley were voted to finish second and third, respectively, in the MVC preseason poll. The Braves have yet to play a conference match up due to issues with COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Ramblers are 2-0 in conference play.

The two-game series will start at 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at Carver Arena in Peoria with the first matchup streamed on ESPN+. The Jan. 25 game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. and will be televised on NBC Sports Chicago+ as well as FOX Sports Midwest-Indiana-Kansas City.

Both teams are scheduled to play away games this weekend — Loyola against Drake University and Bradley against University of Northern Iowa.

In the same press release, the MVC announced the rescheduling of Bradley’s series with Valparaiso University and Illinois State University. It also gave new dates for Valparaiso and Illinois State’s series in Bloomington Normal.

Loyola is set to resume conference play against Drake Jan. 10. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
