Loyola Students Robbed at Gunpoint Near Lake Shore Campus

Two Loyola students were robbed at gunpoint near Lake Shore Campus the night of Jan. 16, according to a Campus Safety Crime Alert.

The students were walking near West Arthur Avenue and North Greenview Avenue at about 10:35 p.m. when they were approached by a person who displayed a gun and demanded their valuables, according to Campus Safety.

Multiple robberies have occurred near Loyola’s campus in recent days. A Loyola student and a community member were the victims of back-to-back robberies that occurred in broad daylight near Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus Jan. 15, The Phoenix reported.

Campus Safety is working with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) on the investigation and asked anyone with information to call Campus Safety at (773) 508-SAFE or CPD at 911 or (312) 744-8263.
