Loyola Athletics released a statement announcing the cancelation of the Loyola men’s soccer match against Bradley University March 30 due to “COVID-19 issues within Loyola’s Tier I personnel.”

Tier I personnel consists of student-athletes, coaches, managers and staff.

The game was set for March 30 at 6 p.m. at Shea Stadium in Peoria. A Loyola Athletics spokesperson told Phoenix reporters it’s unclear if the game will be rescheduled.

The Ramblers have two more regular season games on their schedule — against the University of Evansville April 4 and Missouri State University April 8 — before the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament starts April 13.

At the time of publication, the same Loyola Athletics spokesperson added there’s been no decision made about the final two games on the schedule.

If it’s still played, the match between the Ramblers and the Purple Aces is set for 2 p.m. April 4 at Loyola Soccer Park.
