The Loyola women’s club ice hockey team (9-4-1) won its first conference championship Feb. 27 since joining the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) in 2014.

Southern Illinois advanced to the Arch Madness semifinals with a 67-63 victory over Missouri State March 2.

No. 8 seed University of Evansville (17-14, 7-11) took on No. 9 seed University of Northern Iowa (15-15, 7-11) in the first game of Arch Madness March 1. The Panthers beat the Purple Aces 60-50.

Men's Basketball

In 2013, Loyola joined the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) and the men’s basketball team finished the season with a record of 4-14 in conference play during the 2013-14 season. Since then, men’s basketball head coach Porter Moser has been rebuilding the program to create a winning culture. Four years later, the Ramblers went 15-3 and won the MVC regular season title this season.

Track & Field

Nine minutes and 26 seconds. That’s all it took for redshirt junior Lindsey Brewis to set a new school record for the 3,000-meter run.


The student athletes at Loyola try to support each other as much as they can. At volleyball games members of the men’s soccer and golf teams can typically be seen supporting their fellow student athletes.
