The Loyola softball team (24-21, 7-13) is on a three- conference-series-win streak after winning six of its last eight games against Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) opponents.
When Loyola built its softball park in 1997, it was very traditionally surfaced with dirt infields and grass outfields. Throughout the last 10 years, the university has been converting the infield and the outfield to artificial turf. Last year, Loyola completed the process, which has taken the field’s unpredictability out of practices and games, according to head coach Jeff Tylka.
After falling short against Bradley University in the first round of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) tournament on March 9, the Loyola women’s basketball team’s (2-28, 1-17) rough season came to an end.
A rough pair of games resulted in two more losses for the Loyola women’s basketball team. It looks to rebound quickly.
