Man Dies After Drowning In Lake Michigan Near Rogers Park

A man was pulled from Lake Michigan in Rogers Park Sunday night after drowning, officials said. 

The Chicago Police Department’s Marine Unit responded to Tobey Prinz Beach Park (1050 W. Pratt Blvd.) at about 8:55 p.m., police said.

The man, identified as 22-year-old Jonathan Subida of Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood, was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and pronounced dead later that night, police said. 

This is the second incident to occur in Lake Michigan near Rogers Park this weekend. First responders rescued a man Friday night, The Phoenix reported.
