A 17-year-old male was charged with first-degree murder for a shooting that occurred at the Morse CTA Red Line Station in September, according to police.

The shooting, which took place just a stop away from the Loyola CTA Red Line Station, occurred at about 6:12 p.m. Sept. 15. The shooting victim, a 36-year-old male, was inside the station when the offender shot him from inside a vehicle, The Phoenix reported.

The victim was transported to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, The Phoenix reported.

The offender, who isn’t being named because he’s a minor, was arrested Feb. 4 about a mile away from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus, the Chicago Police Department said.
