ABOUT THE LOYOLA PHOENIX

The Loyola Phoenix is the official student newspaper of Loyola University Chicago. The paper was founded in 1969 and is dedicated to reporting on the happenings at the university, as well as the surrounding Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods, Chicago and important national and international events.

The paper is distributed every Wednesday on Loyola’s Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses, barring academic breaks and holidays. The Phoenix complies with the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics and is editorially independent from Loyola, but funded in part by the university and advertisements.
