Individual Robbed at Gunpoint Just a Quarter Mile From Loyola’s Campus Early Friday Morning

No injuries were reported after a non-Loyola affiliated individual was robbed at gunpoint early Friday, March 10 on the 6200 block of N. Kenmore Ave., approximately a quarter mile from Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus, according to a crime alert sent to the Loyola community.

The victim, a 26 year-old-male, was approached at approximately 2:00 a.m. by three individuals in a silver vehicle, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD). An offender exited the vehicle and presented a firearm, demanding the victim to hand over their personal belongings, according to CPD. 

CPD said the unknown male offender then took the victim’s belongings and returned to the vehicle, fleeing in an unknown direction.  

No suspects are in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating, according to CPD.
