The Loyola men’s golf team attended the Boilermaker Invitational hosted by Purdue University Oct. 13-14. The Ramblers placed 11th out of 15 teams with a total of 890 (299-296-299) strokes.
Taking the top spot was host Purdue with a total of 839 (282-276-281) strokes, 26-under par. Individually, Southern Illinois University fourth-year Anthony De Schutter went six-under par with 210 (73-67-70) strokes.
For the Ramblers, fourth-year Sebastian Kasun tied for 20th place with a total of 218 (70-74-74). His two bogeys and five birdies in his first round led to a round total of two-under par.
Fourth-year Dori Lee finished with a score of 219 (76-70-73) strokes and a tie for 23rd. His four birdies in a row in his second round gave him a two-under round score.
Fourth-year Zach Mulhearn landed in a tie for 54th with a score of 227 (75-75-77). Mulhearn recorded a hole-in-one on the par-three thirteenth hole in his third round.
Two strokes behind Mulhearn, fourth-year Charlie Kulwin finished the tournament in a tie for 61st and a score of 229 (80-77-72). Four bogeys and four birdies cancelled each other out, leaving Kulwin two-over par score in his third round.
Lastly, fourth-year Ryan Walsh recorded 232 (78-78-76) strokes, placing in a tie for 66th. Five bogeys and one birdie in his final round led to a round total of four-over-par.
The Ramblers head to the Flyer Invitational hosted by the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, Oct. 20-21.
