Women’s Golf Out of Tune in Nashville Invitational 

The Ramblers fell to 13th place at the Nashville Invitational.

Loyola women’s golf traveled to Hermitage, Tenn. for the Nashville Invitational hosted by Lipscomb University March 23-24. The Ramblers placed 13th out of 16 teams with a total of 945 strokes (321-313-311). 

Taking the top team spot was the University of Delaware with a score of 882 strokes (291-293-298). Lipscomb University’s third-year Ava Bankston finished in first place with 217 strokes (74-73-70). 

For the Ramblers, second-year Grace Hui finished in a tie for 27th with 227 strokes (81-74-72). A total of three bogeys and three birdies led to an even third-round score.

First-year Teagan Connors tallied a total of 236 strokes (79-78-79) and a tie for 59th place. Her six-over par second round consisted of seven bogeys and a birdie. 

Third-year Cassie Psuik grabbed a tie for 70th with 241 strokes (79-83-79). In her final round, she tallied a double bogey and five bogeys to finish seven-over par. 

Second-year Madison Haugen finished the tournament in 75th place at 244 strokes (82-81-81). In her second round, one double bogey, seven bogeys and a birdie led to a nine-over par round total. 

Lastly, first-year Maureen O’Leary scored 251 strokes (86-80-85) and a tie for 81st place. Her second round lowest total of eight-over par tallied a double bogey, seven bogeys and a birdie. 

The Ramblers head to their last regular season tournament in Bowling Green, Ohio for the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green University April 11-12.
