The Loyola’s men’s golf team traveled to the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by University of South Alabama March 30-31 in Mobile, Ala. The Ramblers totaled 887 strokes (297-294-286) and landed in a tie for eighth out of 13 teams.
University of South Alabama took the top spot with 826 strokes (272-277-277). On the South Alabama team, fourth-year Hugo Thyr finished in first place with 199 strokes (65-66-68).
For the Ramblers, fourth-year Sebastian Kasun took a tie for 28th with 215 strokes (75-70-70). In his second round, Kasun recorded two bogeys and three birdies for a round score of one-under par.
One stroke behind Kasun, fourth-year Dori Lee finished the tournament with 216 strokes (73-73-70) and in a tie for 31st. Lee posted a one-under par round with three bogeys and four birdies in his final round.
Fourth-year Charlie Kulwin landed in a tie for 45th place with 219 strokes (75-75-69). A two-under par score in his final round consisted of a double bogey, three bogeys and seven birdies.
Fourth-year Zach Mulhearn scored 227 strokes (74-76-77) and tied for 66th place. In his first round, Mulhearn posted a double bogey, two bogeys and a birdie for a round total of three-over par.
Finally, second-year Connor Woodin took a tie for 75th place with a total of 231 strokes (75-78-78). His first round score consisted of six bogeys and two birdies for four-over par.
The Ramblers compete in the Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State University in State College, Penn. April 18-19.
