A student in Bellarmine Hall reported sexual assault by a Loyola guest Nov. 17 in Bellarmine Hall. Campus Safety announced the reporting to the Loyola community Nov. 18 at 6:20 p.m.
Christian Anderson, assistant vice president of Communications and director of Executive Communications, said the alleged offender has been identified.
“As stated in a Campus Alert, a student reported to the Dean of Students office that they were sexually assaulted by a non-Loyola affiliated guest in Bellarmine Hall on November 17,” Anderson wrote in an email to The Phoenix. “The alleged offender has been identified and there is no ongoing threat to safety.”
The incident wasn’t reported to the Chicago Police Department, according to a CPD spokesperson.
