The Loyola women’s golf team closed out their regular season in Bowling Green, Ohio April 11-12 for the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green State University. The Ramblers completed the 36 hole tournament with a total of 642 strokes (312-330) and eighth out of nine teams.
Hosts’ Bowling Green took the top spot with 613 strokes (297-316). On top of the player leaderboard, University of Dayton’s third-year Kylee Heidemann scored a total of 146 strokes (74-72).
The Ramblers were led by third-year Cassie Psuik who landed in a tie for sixth place, a season-high, with 154 strokes (76-78). In her first round, Psuik tallied one double bogey, four bogeys and two bridies for a four-over-par round.
One stroke behind Psuik, second-year Grace Hui scored 155 strokes (73-85) and a tie for 11th place. Her five birdies during the tournament was a team high. A double bogey, three bogeys and four birdies gave her a first round low-score of one-over par.
With 166 strokes (81-85), first-year Maureen O’Leary grabbed a tie for 39th place. A double bogey and seven bogeys led to a nine-over par first round.
Second-year Madison Haugen landed in a tie for 45th with a total of 168 strokes (83-85). An 11-over par first round featured three double bogeys, six bogeys and a birdie.
Lastly, first-year Teagan Connors took 51st place with a score of 173 strokes (82-91). Her tournament best score came in the first round after three double bogeys, four bogeys and a birdie for a total of ten-over-par.
The Ramblers tee off at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Orlando, Fla. April 20-22.
