The Ramblers gear up for postseason play.
Loyola women’s volleyball heads into the postseason as the second seed in the Atlantic 10 (A10) conference tournament. The Ramblers will bypass the first round of play due to their seeding.
The other five teams competing are the first-seeded University of Dayton, third-seeded George Washington University, fourth-seeded Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), fifth-seeded George Mason University and sixth-seeded Duquesne University.
The Ramblers will take on the winner of George Washington vs. Duquesne, who play Nov 21. at 3:30 p.m.. Loyola beat George Washington in their first match of the season in a five-set thriller and lost their second in four sets. The Ramblers swept Duquesne in both of their matches this season.
Loyola’s first match commences Nov 22 at 1:30 p.m., directly after the winner of VCU and George Mason plays Dayton.
If the Ramblers make it through the second round of play, they would head to the finals Nov. 23 at 11 a.m.. They would face either VCU, George Mason or Dayton. The Ramblers swept VCU in their first match and lost in 5 sets in their second, beat George Mason twice, once in three sets and once in four and got swept by Dayton in both of their meetings.
All rounds of the playoffs will take place in Richmond, Va, and are hosted by VCU. The Ramblers and all other matches will be streaming on ESPN+.
