Three Students Victim to Criminal Sexual Abuse in String of Consecutive Incidents

The individual hasn’t been apprehended as of Feb. 18. The investigation is being conducted by the Chicago Police Department.

Three Loyola students were the victims of criminal sexual abuse in a chain of incidents where an unknown male grabbed their buttocks Feb. 17. 

The first offense occurred at the front entrance to Campion Hall sometime past 8:30 p.m., the second at the north stairs of Mertz Hall around a minute later followed by the final incident at the corner of West Loyola Avenue and North Sheridan Road around three minutes later, according to a Crime Alert shared with the Loyola community Feb. 17. 

After the final offense, the man fled north on North Sheridan Road toward the Loyola Red Line station. He hasn’t been apprehended as of Tuesday evening. 

The victim at the corner of West Loyola Avenue and North Sheridan Road declined medical attention, according to the Chicago Police Department. A CPD spokesperson was unable to provide information about the other victims. 

The man was last seen wearing khaki color pants with a grey and black puffy coat, carrying a brightly colored shopping bag and wearing white shoes, according to the Crime Alert. The investigation is active and being handled by CPD.
